Incredible Results by the Prolific Crimes Team deployed to Richmond

Yesterday, Monday 27th March 2023, the two detectives from the TM Eye Prolific Crimes team, Adam and Cameron, arrested ten (10) suspects during one shift in Richmond.

The team employed on behalf of ‘Be Richmond’ BID were patrolling the High Street and shopping area in plain clothes.

Early in the day they detained two males who were attempting to steal mopeds and were in possession of a De Walt grinder to cut off locks. Both suspects were subsequently arrested by police for Going Equipped to Steal.

Adam and Cameron then caught three female suspects stealing from a well known supermarket. A private criminal prosecution by TM Eye is being considered.

They then saw and arrested a man wanted on a no bail warrant issued by the Magistrates Court for failing to appear, for a TM Eye private prosecution. He was taken into custody by police to appear at court today.

Three further suspects were arrested for theft from two well known stores. Private criminal prosecutions are being considered by TM Eye.

At the end of their shift they detained a suspect for shoplifting goods valued at £454.00. When searched he was found in possession of an imitation firearm. He claimed he had the gun for ‘protection’. Police attended and he is currently in custody for Theft and Possession of a Firearm whilst Committing an Indictable Offence.

Incredible work by the team.
