Sandra Jackeviciene (born 28.11.1988) of The Glen, Pitsea, Essex, SS16 4XJ appeared at Basildon Magistrates Court on 1st April 2019, charged with four (4) offences of selling counterfeit goods contrary to Section 92 of The Trademarks Act 1994. She pleaded guilty to all matters.

Jackeviciene was sentenced to a 12 Month Community Order to include 40 Hours Unpaid Work. She was also ordered to pay £500.00 costs and an £85.00 victim surcharge.

The case was brought by TM Eye as a private criminal prosecution on behalf of its client HUGO BOSS.

Jackeviciene operated a substantial site on FACEBOOK using the name ‘‘Designer Clothing Deals Essex’ as well as a number of Group Selling pages. She sold a wide variety of fake goods including Ralph Lauren, Nike, Adidas, Armani and many others. No action was taken in relation to these brands.

Between the 27th November 2018 and the 15th January 2019 TM Eye evidenced the selling of counterfeit goods by Sandra Jackeviciene and made three test purchases of items purporting to be Hugo Boss. The goods were collected from her home address by detectives from the TM Eye Dedicated Undercover Unit and were covertly filmed. This evidence led to the prosecution and conviction.

TM Eye Director David Mckelvey said,” Jackeviciene operated a very profitable criminal business from her home in Essex selling fake goods across the UK. TM Eye were able to identify her, evidence the online trades and then carry out three covert test purchases.

Should she re offend she will likely receive a custodial sentence.”
