On Thursday 7th February 2013, TM Eye detectives attended Camden Stables Market together with police officers from Camden Borough. A permanent stall was searched and a large quantity of counterfeit leather goods recovered from various luxury brands. The seller was served with a criminal summons to attend Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on 28 February 2013. This action is being taken by TM Eye as a private criminal prosecution at no cost to the clients.
The operation was the culmination of months of pro active work by TM Eye detectives acting on behalf of Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo and Mulberry.
The seller has ceased trading in fake goods.
TM Eye Managing Director David McKelvey said,” Today’s operation was a complete success and has resulted in the recovery of fake goods and the processing of a suspect to the criminal courts. TM Eye will continue to target those who sell counterfeit goods impacting on our clients intellectual property rights and causing economic damage to those companies. We have had considerable success to date in convicting those engaged in selling fake goods.”
