TM Eye detectives supported by Camden Police carried out two raids at Camden Stables Market on 19 February 2013, leading to the recovery of a large number of counterfeit bags and leather goods. The person in charge of the two stalls was served with a criminal summons for a number of Trademark offences, the result of a 3 month covert operation mounted by TM Eye on behalf of Mulberry, Louis Vuitton and Jimmy Choo. Fake goods from other rights holders were surrendered.

The suspect is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on 28 February 2013.

TM Eye Director, David McKelvey said,”we will continue to target those persons who sell fake Louis Vuitton, Mulberry or Jimmy Choo products and prosecute them in the criminal courts. We will ‘catch and convict’ anyone infringing these brands in order to ‘prevent and deter’ further offending.”

This prosecution is being brought by TM Eye on behalf of its Rights Holders as a private criminal prosecution at no cost to the clients.
