Sangar sold fake goods at Bovingdon Market in Hertfordshire

Ahmad Wali Sangar born 07/05/70 of 22 Tetherdown, London, N10 1NB, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on 24 January 2019, charged with three offences of selling counterfeit goods contrary to Section 92 of The Trademarks Act 1994. He pleaded guilty to all matters. He was sentenced to a 12 Month community order to include 80 Hours unpaid work and was ordered to pay £315.00 Costs and an £85.00 Victim surcharge. The court made a Forfeiture and destruction order.

The case was brought by TM Eye as a private criminal prosecution on behalf of its client Jimmy Choo.

Between the 3rd November 2018 and 24thNovember 2018, three test purchases were conducted from Ahmad Wali Sangaron on three separate occasions from his substantial stall at Bovingdon Market.  All three of the purchases were covertly recorded and resulted in the prosecution and conviction.
